A floor lamp in the form of a standing bear, produced by Messow in the 1980s. At 73 centimetres tall, this is a substantial piece – scaled for floor placement rather than tabletop display. The lamp is constructed from moulded plastic in a green colourway typical of 1980s interior palettes.

The bear stands upright in an anthropomorphised pose, its translucent body housing the light source and diffusing illumination through the plastic shell. Messow produced a range of these figural lamps during the decades.
